B.E.D music policy is simple. We try to incorporate the widest variety of genres each weekend to impress the largest number of clubbers. These genres include Chart, Commercial Dance, RnB, Hip Hop, Progressive, Vocal & Electro House, Old Skool Dance Classics, Trance & Party favourites.

The doorbell rang, 3 large boxes were sat on the step. The past few months of working & saving now seemed worth while. At just 16 years old Flip had his first set of decks, & so it began! Continuous practice, running home between lessons at school, helped... him develop his own creative yet unique style of mixing & he eventually gained enough confidence to record some of these sets & upload them to his social network profile. One of these sets came to the attention of a well established DJ in the commercial club scene in Ireland. Impressed with what he heard he took Flip under his wing & opened doors for him he could have only dreamt about! Still a few months short of his 17th birthday Flip began covering gigs in some, at the time, well known bars & clubs; with the occasional Saturday night in Lacey’s Night Club doing know harm to this kids ‘up & coming’ reputation. Each gig brought him invaluable experience and it wasn’t long until Flip started covering regular Friday & Saturday nights in Scratch, Belfast. Although he was often brought back down to earth on entering the club, being asked for ID, even carrying his record bag! With his 18th birthday now over him, not only was he legally aloud into these clubs, but more regular gigs started to emerge & his first big residency came along in the form of Friday nights at Scratch. This compact club hosted one of Belfast’s busiest Fridays and Flip relished playing the tunes for this atmospheric crowd. O’Dowds, Newry, brought Flips next opportunity. A well respected pro in the industry, and a friend of his was hanging up his headphones & the Saturday night residency in this notorious disco bar was up for grabs. Flip was given a trial run over the Christmas period & he didn’t disappoint grabbing the residency with both hands! Now, no longer the ‘cover jock’ DJ Flip is rapidly ditching his ‘up & coming’ reputation, becoming one of the established pros on the DJ scene himself. Still just 21 the future for this young disc jockey promises to be a bright one! You can catch DJ Flip every Saturday night in his newest residency at B.E.D Night Club (Newry).

Bio Kevin has extensive experience in all things visual! He illuminates clubbers every weekend, syncing our advanced LED lighting system and graphics wall with the DJs that are performing. A true 'behind the scenes hero'!

A list DJs

2011's first guest DJ to appear at the club on Saturday 29th Jan, is none other than DJ HIX, who has his nightly show (The Pulse) on Cool FM. Stars of RTE 2, The Rubberbandits are due to make a guest appearance on Friday 4th Feb for a one off comedy night and Irelands top trance DJ John O'Callaghan is set to make his much anticipated return to Newry on Saturday 12th February.

2009/10 at The Relic saw Star DJ's such as Ferry Corsten, Lisa Lashes, John O Callaghan, Show Tec, Alex Kidd, DJ Sash, DJ Kutski, Bootex, DJ Sammy, Sander Van Doorn, Marco V, N Trance, Mark Sherry, Dave Pearce, Simon Patterson, Gareth Emery, Guiseppe Ottovaini, Robbie Nelson, Jordon Suckley, Paul Webster & John Gibbons take to the Decks. Other Guest appearances included 90210 Hollywood Starlet Annalynne McCord, Mr Hudson, Daneille LLoyd , Shameless Stars Mickey & Shane Maquire, Skins star Luke Pasqualino, Cornation Streets Ryan Thomas, The Vengaboys, Flawless Dance Troupe (Britain’s Got Talent) and The X Factors Rock God Jamie Archer.

B.E.D Nightclub Newry plans to exceed this line-up with an even bigger star list appearing in the venue, all of which will be enhanced by the new lux decor and state of the art audio & visual equipm ent.
