From hosting his own show on national BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, who touted him as one of the finest new voices of UK radio, to being snapped up by Northern Ireland's number one music station Cool FM, Hix is now firmly regarded as one of the leading tastemakers on Northern Ireland radio, and without a doubt the number one club party-rocker in the land.

In just a few short years he has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, played in some of the finest clubs in Europe, and developed a huge following and fan base. He is renowned for his unique party-rocking club sets, with his quick-fire turntables skills and vast musical knowledge, he can make even the quietest crowds go crazy, whether it be a small club or a massive arena crowd.
He single-handedly rocked 11,000 people at The Odyssey Arena as 50 CENT's official support DJ, and he has DJ'd live on stage for huge global superstars, including RIHANNA, BOYZ II MEN, AKON, TINIE TEMPAH and more.
Hix was snapped up by Cool FM in late 2007 and launched a brand new show on the station, dedicated to his true love - RnB, HipHop & Soul. The Urban Takeover quickly became one of the most popular shows in Northern Ireland, going head-to-head with Tim Westwood on Radio 1, with Hix getting 3 times more listeners than him.
Just two years later, Cool FM approached Hix about presenting another brand new show, which saw him move to 5 days a week and very quickly become one of the leading tastemakers in Northern Ireland radio. "The Pulse with DJ Hix" showcases the finest new and cutting-edge music from across the board - whether it be rock, hiphop, electro, dubstep, pop, drum & bass, or anything in between, Hix breaks the hottest new music first, and the show has amassed a huge following in a very short space of time. The show airs live Monday-Thursday 6-10pm, with Hix still presenting his Urban Takeover show on Friday nights 9pm-12am.
